The new Ngati Otara Multi-sport Facility will replace the existing sports clubrooms, home to the Scorpions League Club.
The multi-sport facility will include a new clubroom, kitchen, changerooms, toilets and laundry facilities.
The external walls of the facility are decorative Monarch concrete precast panels, and perforated laser cut panels in the silhouette of a waka being paddled highlight the building.
The new facility, due for completion early 2021, is a building that will increase interest in sports and bring the community together.
